New Winter Scene

Happy New Year!  We had a wonderful holiday season here with family from out of town for Christmas and then local friends in for New Year's Eve.  My house is still decorated and I don't want it to end.  In between tasks, I love/have to paint.  I wanted hard bare wood exposed in the cold sunny day.  The snow is soft, but the trees seem hard in winter.

Like I said, I am alternating florals and landscapes.  Here is a new winter scene based on a reference of a cabin in Michigan.

Lovely, Linda. I can feel the cold just by looking at it.

You have given it a cozy warm feeling even though it's snow!

Really lovely scene. I think we will be seeing this view out our windows tomorrow morning if the weather report is correct for MO. Glad you had a good holiday season!
