What a challenge!

The last 2 weeks have been a real challenge since my father-in-law passed away. Life just turned upside down, but things are beginning to turn back to normal. I found time to paint a couple of landscapes based on reference photos from the Wet Canvas monthly watercolor studio challenge. It's great to have a "challenge" to use when you just don't have the time or inclination to think.

Here is
Sunrise, Sunset, 11" x 15" original watercolor

And Evening Drive, 11" x 15" original watercolor

I'm so sorry to hear of your father-in-laws passing, Linda. Painting is a good things when our lives are upside down. I hope it brings healing to you.

These 2 pieces are very nice.

I'm sorry about your father-in-law. The cycle of life is very difficult...

On the bright side your art is just amazing... SO beautiful!

Please disregard the previous message. I'm sorry to hear that your father-in-law passed away recently. You're not going to believe it but my father-in-law just passed away a couple of weeks ago too. Is that strange. Unfortunately my poor hubby was out driving and he was never able to go to the funeral in Mexico City, Mexico. He took it pretty well considering.

That's horrible Linda. I hope your husband is doing better. Petra's (Photographer) mother just passed away too.

So many sad events. Your first landscape of the gorgeous sunset is spectacular, but do you know that it seems sad.

Take care of yourself. - Veronica

I am a sucker for sunsets. There is something so ethereal about it and simply beautiful. I really like the way you captured the sunset in the top piece and the depth in the piece as well.

Hi Linda
These are very moody watercolours. Some lovely lost and found edges.
